エホバ（Jevovah）とは、旧約聖書に登場する イスラエルの神。あるいは、神についても適切＝適格な呼び方をエホバ、あるいはヤーウェと呼ぶ。ウィキペディア（英語）にはこう書かれている。

テトラグラマノンは、主（しゅ）と訳することがで き、これがヤーウェとなるので、エホバとヤーウェ（ヤハウェ）は、同義あるいは同値であるとみなすことができる。
