Course Objective:
Do you know TOK, the Theory of Knowledge? TOK is a compulsory subjects
provided by the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program for
qualification for admission to a university. This course use this
subject for post-graduate qualified adults as basic subject of pedagogy
for adults/ andragogy. Participants of this class will be required to
think by comparing between European and Japanese senses of
knowledge-based qualification to be "well-literate" adult.
Learning Goals:
1. Participants can understand the contents of TOK provided by the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program.
2. Through understanding the contents of TOK, students not only can
manage but teach TOK for diploma course students in virtual context.
3. Students can review their own comparative approaches to understand
what is the basement of universal human knowledge teaching by TOK.
Requirement / Prerequisite:
Because we use both English and Japanese texts of TOK, the participants
of this class are recommended to familiar with bilingual situation by
these languages. But the English language competency of participants is
not required as "super fluent," but basic.

Grading Policy: Grading of qualification will be evaluated from
self-evaluation points from each students' portfolios, 50%, and
attainment points of student's reports, 50%

2. Nature and nurture of knowledge
On "true belief," levels of knowledge, types of knowledge
3. Individual knowledge and Shared knowledge
On distinction between two types of knowledge, personal knowledge,
Oratory tradition, media knowledge, internet knowledge, Artificial
knowledge.
4. Language
Language, linguistics, sub disciplines of linguistics, language and translation, language usage, specific and general grammar.
5. Perception and Sensitivity
Perception, sensitivity, seeing and believing, real and virtual, visual or optic reality, ultimate reality.
6. Reason
On deductive reasoning, formal and informal reasoning, rationality and certainty, lateral thinking.
7. Feeling and Emotion
On feeling, emotion, passion, knowledge and passion.
8. Intuition
On intuition, naive intuition, intellectual intuition, cognitive bias, core intuition.
9. Immagination
